Tek-Select Type 8 Biopsy Cassettes offer a special hinge holding the base and cover together. This hinge allows cassettes to be opened and closed as often as necessary. The lid can be removed and re-inserted easily without danger of specimen loss. Three frosted writing surfaces are easy to write on, including the 45 deg. angle anterior face. Single compartment biopsy processing and embedding cassettes is made from acetyl polymer with1676 square openings (0.38 mm) that allow for a greatly improved fluid exchange without having to use the biopsy pads. The cassettes are totally resistant to the most histological chemicals and solvents.
Large anterior and posterior slots in both cassette and cover ensure that the Micromesh™ biopsy cassettes will sink rapidly (far better than cloth mesh cassettes). A large square compartment measuring 27 mm is perfect even for needle biopsies. The cover does not protrude above the cassette, a great space saving feature allowing more cassettes to be stacked in automatic labeling machines and tissue processors.

Its one-piece design and lack of hinges and doors allow dust-free storage. There are six drawers that are impact-resistant. This product is very compact in size, measuring 17" x 9" x 15"

These one piece plastic capsules are hinged and perfectly aligned, offering convenience and ease of use. Both the top and the bottom of the capsule have an open mesh offering maximum fluid flow during processing. A frosted marking surface assures permanent identification. These capsules are commonly used with the Embedding Ring System. They are available in two sizes and five colors.
To use simply place the tissue in the capsule, close the cover to lock, and the sample is now ready for processing. 29 (dia)x 6 mm deep are for use with biopsy tissue.

Paraffin tappers hold the heat so the tissue stays flat in the mold and is embedded in the same plane for easier cutting. The paraffin tappers are helpful with multiple piece skins, large pieces of uterus, and even those multi-piece biopsies. They reduce re-cuts and re-embeds, as the tissue is perfectly embedded in the embedding mold the first time.
